DFS MMA Scoring Parameters

What makes daily fantasy MMA different from other daily fantasy sports is that every fighter in your lineup will score points for their in-fight activity as well as the fight results. This method of scoring is similar to defenses in daily fantasy football or goalies in daily fantasy hockey or soccer.

Defenses in daily fantasy football get points for sacks, interceptions, as well as the point score they keep their opponents too. In daily fantasy soccer or hockey, goalies receive points for saves, clean sheets, as well as if they win or not.

How Do You Win in Daily Fantasy MMA?

Wrestlers and grapplers have a bit of an advantage with the current DFS MMA scoring parameters. This is because fighters score points for takedowns, advances, and reversals or sweeps. These types of in-fight actions can boost fighter point output compared to significant strikes.

Significant strikes yield a half a point. Knockdowns will get you the most in-fight points. Unfortunately, there isn’t typically more than one knockdown in a fight. It is more common that someone in your lineup racks up five takedowns versus five knockdowns.

When picking your daily fantasy MMA lineup, it’s important to take into consideration the fighters who will win their fights. First and second round wins will net you a lot of points and give you an advantage among other players. This is especially important on fight cards that have a lot of fights go to the judges decision.
