Robin Black joins Chris and Ashley on Fantasy Sports Today to preview UFC 205 from a daily fantasy perspective.
UFC 205 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 12, 2016 and for the first time in UFC history, three title fights will be on the line.
In the main event, Eddie Alvarez will attempt to defend his lightweight strap against current featherweight champion Conor McGregor. Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will attempt to solve the riddle that is Stephen Thompson as he challenges for the 170 pound title in the co-main event of the evening.
Starting off for the tight fights is a Women’s strawweight bout between Polish fighters Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Both competitors have a Muay Thai background that should set the tone for a striking affair.
Back in action in his home state is former middleweight champion Chris Weidman who faces freestyle wrestling Olympic silver medalist Yoel Romero. Longtime Women’s MMA veteran Miesha Tate looks to get back on the winning track as she faces TUF alumni Raquel Pennington in the bantamweight division.
The preliminary fight card on Fox Sports 1 will feature former UFC champion Frankie Edgar and Jeremy Stephens fighting at 145 pounds. Khabib Nurmagomedov is slated to go toe-to-toe with Michael Johnson in a lightweight tilt between two top ten ranked fighters.
Rafael Natal and Tim Boetch will dance a middleweight dance after Vincente Luque and Belal Muhammad kick the Fox preliminaries off for us.
On UFC Fight Pass, Jim Miller will attempt to string together a three-fight win streak with a win over Thiago Alves. And in the Women’s bantamweight division, Liz Carmouche and Katlyn Chookagian will get the event going with the first fight of the night.
The main card will be televised on pay-per-view starting at 10PM/7PM ET/PT. Fox Sports 1 prelims air at 8PM/5PM ET/PT and the UFC Fight Pass early preliminaries start at 7PM/4PM ET/PT.
